Fujairah City Centre
Fujairah Academy is a British school located in the Academic area near City Centre in Fujairah. Originally established in 1982 as a small primary school near the beach, the institution has grown significantly and now operates from a purpose-built campus that has been fully functional since April 2003.
The school welcomes both boys and girls, serving students from Early Years through to Senior levels (ages 4-18). The student body comprises approximately 85% UAE nationals and students from Arab countries, with the remaining 15% from Western and Asian backgrounds, totaling around 750 students. This creates a bilingual educational setting where students from various cultural backgrounds learn together.
Fujairah Academy follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales in core subject areas. Students are prepared for Edexcel GCSE and GCE A-Level examinations, with Key Stage 2 SATs also administered. The Thanawiya Amma equivalency is available for Emirati students and those of Arab nationality. Graduates typically proceed to higher education institutions in the UK, Australia, USA, or the UAE upon completing Year 12 or Year 13. The school holds British Schools Overseas accreditation.
The school operates as a non-profit organisation owned by the Government of Fujairah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah. The campus in the Academic area provides convenient access for families residing in central Fujairah and surrounding districts.
