Al Durrah International School

This SPEA review found Al Durrah International School to be good overall, the same as the previous review. Leadership, teaching and curriculum have improved, and High School achievement is now largely very good. However, Islamic education and Arabic attainment, along with support and challenge for different student groups, still need improvement. Strengths noted by the inspectors in 2025: curriculum planning ensures progression across all subjects; students show strong communication and collaboration skills to achieve shared goals; improved quality of teaching and learning, especially in High School, boosting achievement; effective guidance and support for students, especially in High School; improved progress in Middle School mathematics and social studies, and in KG science attainment and progress.

The 2025 SPEA report recommended that the school: raise attainment and progress in Islamic education, Arabic as a First Language and Arabic as a Second Language across all phases; improve support for all student groups to meet their individual learning needs across subjects; provide more appropriate levels of challenge and support in lessons to enhance learning; use data analysis more effectively when planning lessons to improve outcomes for all students.

Between the 2023 and 2025 inspections, 4 of the 4 indicators rated in both reports improved, 0 declined and 0 kept the same rating. Improvements include Islamic Education — Progress (KG) from Good to Very good, Social Studies — Progress (Elementary) from Very good to Outstanding, Social Studies — Progress (Middle) from Good to Very good.
