American International School in Abu Dhabi (AISA) is an American school and IB World School located on 29th Street of Airport Road. Founded in 1995, the school was established to provide American-standard education to local and expatriate families in the capital.
The school operates as a mixed-gender institution, welcoming both boys and girls from Kindergarten through Grade 12. In accordance with local regulations, the Secondary School maintains gender-segregated classes.
AISA follows an American curriculum combined with International Baccalaureate programmes. The school was the first in the UAE to offer the IB Diploma Programme and became the first in Abu Dhabi authorized for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Full accreditation is held from the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). Students represent over 75 nationalities within the school community.
Annual tuition fees range from AED 32,950 to AED 59,900. The campus is conveniently located for families residing in Mushrif Area, behind Abu Dhabi University, off E22 Al Ain Road, and near Hazzaa Bin Zayed Street.
